Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling 2026 (Complete & Latest Information as of early March 2026)
UPTAC 2026 is the centralized online counselling and seat allotment process conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate technical/professional courses in AKTU-affiliated colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
UPTAC is NOT an entrance exam — it is purely a counselling platform that allocates seats based on scores/ranks obtained in national/state-level entrance exams or merit.
Current Status (March 2026)
- UPTAC 2025 counselling is fully closed (final mop-up/special rounds completed in late 2025–early 2026).
- UPTAC 2026 (for academic session 2026–27) has not officially started yet.
- First official notification / information brochure → Expected in April–May 2026 (most likely last week of April or first week of May).
- Registration opening → May 2026 (B.Tech counselling usually starts first, followed by other programs).
The official portal www.uptac.admissions.nic.in is currently showing UPTAC 2025 notices and login links. The 2026 portal will be activated only after AKTU releases the first notification (typically a PDF brochure + registration link).

How UPTAC 2026 Counselling Works – Step-by-Step
- Entrance Score Submission Candidates must have valid score/rank in the required exam:
- B.Tech → JEE Main 2026
- B.Arch → NATA 2026
- B.Pharm/BBA/BCA → CUET UG 2026
- MBA → CUET PG / CMAT / CAT / MAT
- MCA → CUET PG / NIMCET
- Registration on UPTAC Portal
- Visit www.uptac.admissions.nic.in (activates in April–May 2026)
- Register with mobile/email (OTP verification)
- Pay counselling registration fee (≈ ₹1,000–1,500)
- Upload scanned documents (10th, 12th marksheet, entrance scorecard, category certificate, domicile, photo, signature, etc.)

- Fee structure → Varies widely:
- Government colleges → ₹50,000–1 Lakh/year
