SSC GD Constable Exam 2026

SSC GD Constable Exam 2026

The SSC GD Constable 2026 examination has been officially postponed and no revised exam date has been announced yet.

Official SSC Notice (17 February 2026 – Exact Text)

“It is hereby informed that the Computer Based Examination for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2026 which was scheduled to be held from 23 February 2026 onwards is hereby postponed till further notice. The fresh dates of examination will be intimated in due course on the website of the Commission.”

  • Postponement reason (stated): Administrative / logistical reasons
  • Self-slot booking and city intimation slips already generated → now cancelled/invalid
  • Existing applications remain valid — no need to re-apply or pay again
  • New exam date: Not announced (SSC has promised a revised schedule soon)

This is the second major postponement in SSC GD history (first was 2020–21 due to COVID). Current delay appears linked to:

  • Ongoing SSC MTS / Havaldar CBT (running until March 2, 2026)
  • Heavy load on regional test centres & infrastructure
  • No leak, court stay, or paper issue — purely scheduling/logistics

  • Continue preparation (postponement actually gives extra time):
    • Current Affairs (last 6–12 months – focus on national security, sports, awards)

    • Hindi / English grammar & comprehension
  • Physical fitness → Start running (1600 m / 800 m), practice long jump / high jump.
  • Avoid fake “revised date leaked” videos/channels — 99% are clickbait or wrong.
