The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is a national-level entrance exam for admission to MBA/PGDM programs in over 1,300 AICTE-approved institutions across India (including many good private B-schools like JBIMS Mumbai, KJ Somaiya, GIM Goa, BIMTECH, Welingkar, etc., and some state universities).

Exam Date: January 25, 2026 (Sunday) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, across multiple shifts in 110+ cities.
Registration: Closed (started October 17, 2025; last date extended to November 24, 2025; fee payment till November 25, 2025 in some updates).
Results: Declared on February 17, 2026 (NTA Scores released; check at cmat.nta.nic.in).
Admit Card: Released in late January 2026.
Answer Key: Provisional released earlier; final after challenges.

Admission Process After CMAT 2026

Download Scorecard: Log in at https://cmat.nta.nic.in/ using Application Number + Password/Date of Birth. Scorecard shows NTA Score (percentile), sectional scores (Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, Innovation & Entrepreneurship).
Participating Institutes: Apply separately to colleges accepting CMAT scores (list on AICTE/CMAT site or individual college websites). Many have their own GD/PI/WAT rounds starting February–April 2026.
- Top CMAT-accepting colleges: JBIMS (high cutoff ~99+ percentile), SIMSREE Mumbai, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar, PUMBA Pune, BIMTECH, IMT Ghaziabad (some programs), etc.
- Cutoffs vary: 95–99+ percentile for top ones; 70–90 for mid-tier.
Counselling/Admission: No centralized counselling—apply directly to institutes. Check their websites for application deadlines (often open till May/June 2026), GD/PI dates, and final merit lists.
Validity: CMAT 2026 scores valid for 2026–27 academic session admissions.
