The Uttaranchal University encourages scholarly aptitude in students. In order to recognize their academic excellence, the following scholarships are awarded to students who perform extremely well in their qualifying examinations.

Conditions:
The merit scholarship will be awarded to students on the basis of their performance in their qualifying examinations if the following conditions are met.
(I) All programmes/subjects of their qualifying examinations are cleared in the first attempt.
(ii) This scholarship is applicable for the first year only; the students cannot claim the scholarship for subsequent years.
(iii) There will be no rounding of CGPA or the marks in their qualifying examination, for example, if a student achieves CGPA “8.99” it will be considered as 8.99 and will not be considered as 9.00 similarly, if a student achieves 89.99% it will not be considered as 90.00%
